In April and May each year, lessons for beginners and those wishing to improve are organised at Portstewart Golf Club. Tuition of 6X1 Hr sessions is provided weekly in groups of no more than 10 by the club professional. Click on the links below for details and application forms for the 2012 lessons - Beginners, Continuation Lessons for those who completed Beginners last year and Further Lessons for those looking for a refresher.

The Golf Society, which has 60 members, provides an opportunity to enjoy social golf and outings are organised at 3-4 week intervals between April and September each year. The 2012 programme is listed above. Society members belong to local clubs. Mens' handicaps range from 14 – 28 and the ladies’ from 18 – 36. Members normally remain for a bar meal after their round and Stableford competitions are organised for gents and ladies at each venue. At the last outing of the season, trophies are awarded based on the 4 best cards returned. Click on the membership link below for details and an application form the 2012 season.

If you want a game and have no-one to play with or your usual partner is not available, just turn up at Ballyreagh at 10.30 a.m. on a Monday morning (Bank Holidays excepted). Any one is welcome no matter what their ability. We just see how many arrive and then set off in 2s or 3s or 4s according to the number present. We also keep a phone list so that if Monday is wet (yes, we are fair weather golfers) and another day is glorious then we can ring round the group until we can find someone else who is free and just longing for a game. Just to note, we are all female so a lone man although welcome might well feel outnumbered!
