Causeway U3A is for all retired or semi-retired people in the Causeway area of Northern Ireland who want to enjoy a good social life. We organise a wide range of classes and activities for our 800 members to help keep them active in mind and body. Members are free to take part in as many, or as few, of our activities as they wish and no qualifications are needed to take part.
Founder member Rae Morrison thanks the group for awarding her with Honorary Life Membership at the February meeting. See the History Page to find out how Rae M. started Causeway U3A.

There is a group meeting with a guest speaker on the first Thursday of each month in the Strand Road Clubhouse of Portstewart Golf Club at 11:00 am. Prospective new members or guests are welcome to come along and sample the meeting. Just ask at the door and a committee member will be happy to make you welcome and answer any questions. Tea/Coffee is available from 10:30.
The 2011/2012 programme of speakers can be seen on the Meetings Sub-menu of the What We Do Page.
We organise many classes and activities. Most run weekly in 2 terms, with sessions from September to December and from January to April. A limited number run all year round. They fall into categories which can be best described as having mainly Health, Learning or Social benefits. Of course some could be put in more than one category but, for all of them, our aim is enjoyment. You can read more about these on the Activities Page with more details on individual activities under the sub-menus of the Health, Learning and Social Pages.
