Causeway U3A

Membership of The University of the Third Age is open to all men and women. "Third Age" refers to the period after retirement from full-time employment and not to any chronological age. Applications from younger retired or semi-retired people are particularly welcome. Members of another U3A can also join Causeway U3A but please let us know if you are already a member so that we do not duplicate your registration with the national U3A organisation.

There is an initial registration fee of £5 and an annual membership fee of £6 for the year 201/12. The registration fee is waived if you are already a member of another U3A. New members joining from January will have their membership extended to include the subscription for next year as well.

We retain some of this fee to cover our own costs but pass most on to the Third Age Trust as a Capitation Fee per member. This pays the costs for nationally arranged benefits such as insurance, music licences etc. Our membership fee also includes members' subscriptions to the national U3A News magazine and Sources magazines.

Our policy is to have a low annual membership fee with charges set for each individual class. This means that members only pay for those activities in which they participate. See the Activities Page for individual class or event fees.
