Retiring Animators Gill and Steve Parr receiving a presentation from then Chair Judith Hegan and new Animator Stuart Pollard
The next walk will be Portrush East Strand to the White Rocks on Thursday 23 February, led by John White. Meet at East Strand car park (off Causeway Street) at 10:00.
We will post cancellations or other changes to the scheduled programme on the website, so check the website or 'phone the walk leader on the morning of the walk if weather conditions are bad. Please note that the walk in Ballykelly on 8th March has a misprint in the programme regarding directions - the car park is on the Left not right, signposted Jogging Trail. Also, the walk to Roe Valley on Thu 19 April has been cancelled to allow members to attend the AGM.
Most rambles are around 3 - 5 miles long on roads or forest tracks, with a very limited amount of walking on rough ground which will be highlighted on the programme if applicable. Waterproof clothing and boots or strong shoes with a good grip are recommended. There is a stop for tea/coffee and scones at some point during or after the walk. The programme for the season can be downloaded below and will also be available at each ramble.
Although not a U3A activity, many members take part in the Monday Coleraine Walking for Health programme so links to their programme are also included below. Also included below is a link to a video of the Camino Del Rey walk in Spain - reputedly the most dangerous walk in the world. This will not feature in our walking programme!
