Surprise, surprise! We meet on a Thursday but only the 4th one of the month when you will find us in the Committee Room of the Agherton Parish Centre at 19.30 hours. We take it in turns to introduce the month’s book and to facilitate the ensuing discussion. During the past years we have read:

The Buddha in the Attic - by Julie Otsuka
Blood and Beauty - by Sarah Dunant
Sweet Tooth - by Ian McEwan
The Testament of Mary - by Colm Toibin
The Last Runaway - by Tracy Chevalier
The Dig – by John Preston
Harbour Street - by Ann Cleeves
Unexpected Lessons in Love – by Bernardine Bishop
An Officer and A Spy - by Robert HArris

Members of this Group would say that they have been introduced to many authors whom they have never read before and have not only widened their reading but enjoyed discussing the books with others.
